March 30 - Secretariat Day in Ashland from 11am - 4pm.
This family-style event on Secretariat’s birthday takes place around the “Secretariat Racing Into History” monument in the Reynolds Family Plaza at Randolph-Macon College. Admission is free. Come enjoy live music from several groups, an art exhibit, local vendors, exclusive Secretariat merchandise, food trucks, birthday cake, kids’ activities such as stick horse races and more. The Ashland Theatre will host a free showing of the Disney movie “Secretariat,” and the Ashland Museum will be open to show historic Secretariat and Meadow Stable items.
