Big Red is turning 55 in 2025, and we have lots of activities planned! Kicking off the celebration is the “Big Red Bash!” on March 29 at Oakdale in Ashland. On March 30, join us for Secretariat Day in Downtown Ashland. This is a FREE family-friendly event with music, art, vendors, activities for children and birthday cake! We end the day with a “Horsey Happy Hour” at Studio 54, Ashland’s newest event space.
March 29 - The “Big Red Bash” at Oakdale 5pm- 8pm. Join us in this picturesque venue with its elegant barn, patio, pond with fountain and on-site winery.
March 30 - Secretariat Day in Ashland from 11-4pm. This family-style event on Secretariat’s birthday takes place around the “Secretariat Racing Into History” monument in the Reynolds Family Plaza at Randolph-Macon College. Admission is free.
March 30 - Horsey Happy Hour at Studio 54 in downtown Ashland from 4pm - 6pm. After the day’s free festivities, stroll over to Studio 54 for light food and beverages.
